Fire Protection Design Manager

Position Overview

Fire Protection Design Manager will be responsible for supervising, managing, training, and teaching the current designers within the office. The fire protection Design Manager will work closely with the Operations Manager and the Division Manager on current and upcoming projects.

General Responsibilities

• Develop quality and control methods
• Assign projects to designers
• Evaluating design employees
• Review all design drawings, hydraulic calculations, and material submittals for compliance with specifications and NFPA codes
• Review stock lists for projects
• Assist designers in advancing with NICET goals
• Participate in department meetings to review projects progress and future projects
• Design Jobs when required

Qualifications

• NICET Level III (minimum requirement)
• Auto-Cad, Hydra-Cad, and Revit experience
• Must have a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation 
• Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills 
• Strong desire for continued growth and learning in a team environment
• Problem solving and attention to detail
