Position Overview
The accounting department is responsible for processing of data received from the field, along with subcontractors and vendors. The position will require the employee to become familiar with our accounting software (Spectrum) which is used for tracking the construction of our projects on a daily basis. Training will be provided.

General Responsibilities

  • Process financial transactions such as journal entries, cash receipts, and disbursements and prepare various reconciliations
  • Maintain contracts, change orders, and other contract documents related to billings 
  • Prepare draft and final billings
  • Analyze project financial data for trends or problems that may affect financial performance
  • Effectively communication
  • Perform additional assignments and prepare special project analyses as directed 
  • Recommend and implement process improvements agreed upon by management

Qualifications

  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree preferred, minimum of a high school diploma or GED
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and workflows and problem-solving skills
  • Must have strong organization skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Have a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills and a desire for continued growth and learning 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
